Job Description
Responsibilities
Work with Group and Local Line of Businesses and SMEs to lead the dissemination of Global and other Regulatory and Compliance relevant policies changes to the Insurance entity; and oversee the changes being localized as needed to reflect Group and regulatory/ legal requirements
Lead/ participate in the implementation of Global, Regulatory, Compliance Programmes/ Projects and key local change management initiatives to ensure Operational risk exposure is considered and addressed
Serve as a conduit between the Business and the Group, to ensure Global and local Programmes/ Projects are strategically aligned
Provide consultancy and guidance to the Insurance Business in implementing and complying with Global and local Programmes/ Projects related requirements
Manage Governance Forums in order to keep Management abreast highlighted and escalated on Programme/ Projects related matters/ issues/ risks

Bachelor Degree in Accountancy, Finance, Business Administration, Information Technology or related field; Master Degree/ Professional Certification preferred
Minimum 15 years of management experience within financial services; leading Compliance or Regulatory programmes/ projects, with Planning, Strategy, Business Management, and Project management experience
Ability to articulate issues concisely in the language of the business and communicate effectively and confidently across cultures and at all levels of the organization
Proven ability to analyze situations and solve complex issues
An excellent understanding of the current regulatory environment and expectations, relevant regulations and codes, as well as their underlying purpose to mitigate risk to the financial system and provide information useful for the public sector to provide law enforcement and security
A strong team player and able to work with other business and functional teams member
Proven behavior to do the right thing, take accountability personally, demonstrating good time management and commitment to the assigned deliverables
Demonstrable insurance business knowledge
Drive and motivation to ensure delivery in a challenging environment
Relationship management, collaboration and influencing skills
Great sense of ownership and servicing mindset to ensure efficient and effective customer service processes
