Investment Director (China Focus)
Job Description
- Formulate the company's strategic plan to conduct industry research and analysis, explore investment areas or project opportunities (pre-IPO companies in China); Independently find, develop and screen investment projects, make independent assessment opinions, provide investment project proposals; participate in company investment decisions, organize economic benefit evaluation, calculate different investments and economic value of the program
- Propose investment project value analysis, implementation of evaluation, budget and analysis; responsible for formulating investment project implementation plan, and supervising its implementation and operation; responsible for bidding, negotiation, contract drafting, etc. of the proposed investment project
- Organize and guide the company's investment team to carry out the whole process of project operation, including but not limited to project negotiation, transaction structure design, financial analysis, due diligence, valuation and return analysis, post-investment management, IPO, implementation and exit
- Focus on tracking and monitoring the company's investment projects, timely handling major emergencies in corporate investment projects, and timely propose scientific proposals for business development and management improvement
- Responsible for coordination with external business relationships, such as government departments, industry associations, investment target companies, banks and other financial institutions. Able to expand, establish and maintain good relations with partners, authorities and potential customers; responsible for the formulation of the company's investment department work objectives
- Responsible for establishing, training, relationship coordination, project coordination and other related matters of the company's investment team
- Maintain current knowledge about the state of the Asian and Global financial market environments, including macro trends, key industry sectors, as well as wide range of primary and secondary market financial products available for investment (e.g., bonds, bond funds, stocks, equity funds, futures, options, as well as other structured products, derivatives and alternative assets)
- Develop investment sourcing relationships and expands professional network in professional and social settings
- Keep up practical knowledge about basic hedging tools available to reduce portfolio volatility and improve risk adjusted return
Requirements
- Successful candidates should have a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree from top universities in Finance, Statistics, Economics or other relevant disciplines
- Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) credential would be strongly favourable
- Minimum 4 years' of financial industry experience engaging in equity investment business (PE/VC/IB) and 2 years or above team management experience
- Have unique insights and understandings about business and profit models
- Lead at least one successful project investment (full process)
- Strong communication and problem solving skills with ability to interact and collaborate with members of both China and international investment team
- Self-motivated and hardworking with a strong sense of commitment to standards of excellence and the highest level of integrity, ability to work as part of a high-performance team and coach junior-level team members
- Excellent English and Mandarin communication skills
